Bathroom Remodel Dumpster Rental Orlando
Tile, tub, vanity, and toilet demo generates more debris than expected. A driveway dumpster keeps the worksite clean from demo through final fixture install.
Why a Dumpster Helps with a Bathroom Remodel
A bathroom remodel looks small until you start tearing it apart. A standard tub-and-shower replacement, vanity swap, and floor-and-wall retile easily generates 4-8 cubic yards of debris in a single weekend. The tile alone — both the floor tile and the tub-surround wall tile — can weigh 200-300 pounds before you account for thinset, backer board, and the old tub itself.
A roll-off dumpster parked in the driveway turns the bathroom demo into a clean process. Tile shards, broken porcelain from the old toilet and tub, the cast-iron vanity, the drywall behind the tile — it all goes straight from the bathroom out to the dumpster. No bags piling up in the garage. No second trip to the dump after the demo is done. When the new tile and fixtures arrive, the work area is already clear.
For Orlando homeowners managing the remodel themselves or coordinating between a plumber, an electrician, and a tile crew, the dumpster keeps the worksite organized for everyone. Sharp tile edges and broken porcelain are off the floor. The 10 days included gives you time to demo, rough in, and let the inspector come through before you call for pickup.
What Size Dumpster You Need for a Bathroom Remodel
For most bathroom remodels in Orlando, a 10-yard dumpster is the right call. It holds roughly 3 pickup truck loads — enough for a standard bathroom's tile, tub, vanity, toilet, drywall, and miscellaneous debris with buffer to spare. The 10-yard is also the most cost-effective rental in our lineup at $325 flat.
If you are remodeling a large primary bath with a separate tub and walk-in shower, dual vanities, a water closet, and full tile from floor to ceiling, step up to a 15-yard dumpster. The extra capacity handles the higher tile volume and the heavier tub-and-shower combo without crowding.
For two bathrooms remodeled at the same time (a common scenario when homeowners batch primary and guest bath updates), the 15-yard usually still works. For three or more bathrooms simultaneously, the 20-yard at $425 keeps the project on a single rental.
One detail to flag: tile is heavy. A typical floor-and-wall retile of an average bathroom produces 500-800 pounds of tile debris alone, before any other materials. If your bathroom is fully tiled top-to-bottom, mention it when you book so we can confirm the tonnage allowance is right for the project.
What You Can Throw In
Almost everything from a bathroom demo goes in the standard flat-rate dumpster. The materials are predictable: tile, tub, vanity, toilet, drywall, and the trim around it.
Tile — both floor tile (ceramic, porcelain, natural stone) and the tub-surround or shower-wall tile — is accepted. Thinset, backer board, and the wire mesh underneath all go in with it. Tile is the heaviest material in most bathroom demos, so we right-size to handle it.
Tubs and showers are accepted in all common materials: acrylic, fiberglass, cast iron, and steel. Cast-iron tubs are extraordinarily heavy (a standard 60-inch cast-iron tub can weigh 350 pounds on its own) and usually have to be broken up with a sledgehammer to fit through doorways — the broken pieces all go in the dumpster.
Vanities, toilets, and sinks go in without restriction. Porcelain breaks cleanly and packs well around larger debris. Pedestal sinks, wall-mount sinks, and full vanity-and-top combos all qualify.
Drywall, lumber, trim, light fixtures, mirrors, medicine cabinets, plumbing rough, and old shower doors are all accepted. Glass shower doors should be broken down before loading for safety, but the glass goes in the dumpster.
Plumbing fittings, copper pipe, PVC, and the cast-iron drain you cut out during the rough — all accepted.
What You Can't Throw In
A short list of materials cannot be loaded into the dumpster — partly because the disposal facility will reject the load, partly because they are hazardous. For a bathroom remodel, the items most likely to come up are:
- Paint, stain, and solvents — wet paint is not accepted; fully dried/hardened paint cans (lid off, contents solid) are fine
- Caulk and adhesive containers with liquid contents — empty/cured tubes are fine
- Drain cleaners and chemical cleaners — common under bathroom sinks during demo
- Batteries — including the AA batteries from old electric toothbrushes and lithium batteries from cordless tools
- Fluorescent tubes and CFL bulbs — contain mercury
- Mercury thermometers and old thermostats — occasionally found in older homes
- Asbestos-containing materials — older Orlando bathrooms (pre-1980) may have asbestos in vinyl flooring; test before demo if you are uncertain
If you are unsure about any item, call before you toss it in. Our phone team gives a yes/no in seconds and can suggest a local drop-off if an item cannot go in the dumpster.
Driveway-Safe Delivery and Same-Day Service
Bathroom remodels often have to start on a specific weekend — when a tile shipment arrives, a plumber's schedule opens up, or the family agrees to use the guest bath for a few days. Our same-day delivery for orders placed before 10 AM gets a dumpster in your Orlando driveway by afternoon, so you can begin demo Saturday morning rather than waiting on logistics. Orders by 1 PM often still qualify for same-day if route capacity allows.
Every delivery includes driveway-safe placement. Our driver lays 2x10 hardwood boards under the contact rails before setting down the dumpster. This spreads the load — even a half-loaded 10-yard can carry 2-3 tons of dense tile and broken porcelain — across a larger surface area so point-load stress does not crack residential concrete, pavers, or asphalt. The boards are included at no extra charge.
The rental period is 10 days, calibrated to the way bathroom remodels actually run. Typical schedule: demo on day 1, rough-in and inspection on day 2-3, waterproofing and tile installation on day 4-6, grouting and fixtures through day 7-8, final debris and pickup by day 9-10. If a weather delay or supply backorder pushes the schedule, the extra days are already built in. You only call for pickup when you are done.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long will I need the dumpster for a bathroom remodel?
Most bathroom remodels run 3-7 days from start of demo through the last debris-producing finish work. Our 10-day rental period leaves plenty of buffer for weather, supply runs, or inspection delays. You only call for pickup when you are ready, any time within the 10 days. If the project runs longer, extension days are $15/day with no minimum, billed only if you actually keep it past day 10.
What size dumpster do you recommend for a typical bathroom remodel?
The 10-yard dumpster at $325 is the standard recommendation for a single bathroom. It holds 4-8 cubic yards of debris — enough for the tile, tub, vanity, toilet, drywall, and trim from a standard bathroom with buffer to spare. For large primary baths or two bathrooms remodeled together, step up to the 15-yard at $375. For three or more bathrooms simultaneously, the 20-yard at $425 keeps the project on a single rental.
Can I put a cast-iron tub in the dumpster?
Yes. Cast-iron tubs are accepted in the standard rental. A typical 60-inch cast-iron tub weighs about 350 pounds and usually has to be broken up with a sledgehammer to get it out of the bathroom — the broken pieces all go in the dumpster. Because cast iron is dense, let us know when you book that the project includes a cast-iron tub so we can confirm the tonnage allowance covers it along with the other tile and porcelain debris.
How much tile can I put in a 10-yard dumpster?
A 10-yard dumpster comfortably handles the tile from a single bathroom remodel — typically 500-800 pounds for a full floor-and-wall retile. The tonnage allowance on the 10-yard accommodates that weight along with the rest of the demo debris. If you are tiling multiple bathrooms or have an unusually large tiled area (like a floor-to-ceiling tiled walk-in shower in a primary bath), mention it when you book and we will help confirm whether to stay on a 10-yard or step up to the 15-yard.
Do you offer same-day delivery for a bathroom remodel dumpster?
Yes. Orders placed before 10 AM are delivered the same afternoon on most days in our Orlando service area. Orders placed by 1 PM can still qualify for same-day if route capacity allows. After 2 PM, the realistic option is next-day delivery. For bathroom projects that have to start on a specific weekend or when a contractor's window opens up, same-day delivery is one of the operational features Orlando homeowners use most.
What's the price for a bathroom remodel dumpster?
The 10-yard dumpster — our standard recommendation for a bathroom remodel — is $325 flat. That includes delivery, pickup, disposal, 10 days of rental, the defined tonnage allowance, and driveway-safe boards. For larger projects, the 15-yard is $375 and the 20-yard is $425. There are no fuel surcharges, environmental fees, or delivery add-ons. The price you see is the price you pay.
